    Caroline Hambly
    Caroline volunteers are Little Fishes, a toddler group run at the Saltash Wesley Church. Caroline was nominated for going above and beyond in her role to ensure all parents feel included, safe and part of a community. Offering extra support and sign posting when needed, Caroline is always a warm and welcoming person

    Mary Grant, Toni Gorton and Diane Shann

    The three sisters were nominated for their tireless volunteering at Saltash Age UK luncheon club. For many years the three have cooked and served lunch for elderly people in the town at the Burraton Community Centre. Lots of people attend the club and they would not be able to run without the help of these three ladies.

    Mike Finch

    Mike has been a volunteer driver with Saltash Age UK for many years. As well as driving Mike also coordinates other volunteer drivers ensuring that those in need have a transport system they can rely on.

    Friends of Victoria Gardens

    A regular group of volunteers who meet Saturday mornings to litter pick, tidy flower beds and maintain the shrubs. The group have worked with school children to create a bug hotel and always stop to chat to residents. They have restored the jewel in the crown of Saltash!

    Linda Maven

    Linda is a volunteer who gives her time across the community. She volunteers with CEPL 12 in the Community Fridge and Community Kitchen. In addition Linda helps out with Saltash Foodbank, Saltash Environmental Action, Saltash Scrapstore and Saltash Heritage! And you will spot her litter picking in the spare time she has. Linda is always ready to volunteer and is the first to step up and help the community.

    Irene Ballantyne

    Irene has volunteered with Woodside Animal Welfare Trust for many years. In the Fore Street shop Irene creates a wonderful array of window displays which have supported the fundraising efforts for the charity, but also helps to enhance the main shopping street.

    James Jenkins

    James is dedicated to Saltash environmental issues and is the founder of Friends of Tincombe. Working alongside organisations such as Cormac James has worked to preserve Tincombe and organised regular volunteer activities to foster a sense of community in the area. Recently James has also taken on the role of Chair of the Oaklands Community Centre, breathing in new life to the community hub.

    Aeryn Crowley

    Aeryn worked tremendously hard to organise a Christmas fair for the Stroke Association. The event included 14 stall holders, free blood pressure checks and health information from the Stroke Association and entertainment from the school band.
    in total the event raised an amazing £850!

    Amelia Wilding

    Amelia volunteers at Livewire and has volunteered to run arts workshops at the youth centre. Amelia’s dedication has made her an integral part of the team and her commitment to turning up week after week is unwavering.

  • Youth Group Leader

    Keith Child

    Keith has been a volunteer with the 2nd Saltash Scout Group for more than two decades and has impacted the lives of many young people. In addition Keith is involved with the Saltash Youth Network where he is a mentor, leader and advocate for youth engagement in the town.

  • Sporting Achievement

    Colin Bunting

    Colin has been an integral part of Tamar Trotters running club for 30 years and is a key organiser of the Saltash running events. He has taken the Saltash 5k, fun run and Santa run and transformed them into successful events in the sporting calendar.

  • Cultural Contribution

    Sheila and Alan Barret and Gerald Denis

    All three are long standing members of the Saltash Video Group who visually record Saltash and have been doing so since 1963. The stock of videos in the collection serve as an historical record of the town and its celebrations and history.

  • Lifetime Achievement

    Anita Thompson

    Anita has volunteered for over 50 years at the Saltash Wesley Church. Anita was instrumental in fundraising for the building over thirty years ago and more recently has been successful in securing funding to refurbish the foyer and rooms. Anita volunteers as treasurer and is the welcoming face at coffee mornings, in winter Linda collects food from supermarkets for the Warm Welcome Spaces initiative. Anita gives endlessly to the church and the community.

  • Lifetime Achievement

    Robin Duff

    Robin is the Chairman of Saltash United Juniors, who have 25 teams, 327 registered players and 71 volunteer coaches. Robin was instrumental in setting up the girls teams and is always encouraging players at every level to play their best. Robin’s work is laying the foundations for the youth players to progress to club level football for the town, ensuring there is a place for everyone who wants to play in Saltash.

  • Best Performance

    Each year the Mayor has the honour of awarding the Peter Stephens Cup to the best performance during their Mayoral year.
    As Mayor I have enjoyed lots of performances and it’s been incredibly hard to chose one. My husband and I have enjoyed every event and performance we have attended.
    I am pleased to give this year’s Best Performance Cup to Memory Box Singers!
    The wonderful volunteers bring singing and music to those affected by a mild to moderate cognitive impairment and those who attend really enjoy singing and meeting together to perform.

  • The Mayor's Award

    The Mayor’s Award is given to an individual or organisation who have shown great dedication and service to the town. In 2025 the award was given to Saltash Community Fire Station for their services to Saltash. As a town we are very lucky to have the Saltash Community Fire Station there should we need them. .
