Ongoing Work at St Stephen’s

The lawn areas have been cut to keep the churchyard looking neat and presentable. However, in the older sections, we’ve only trimmed the edges and mown selected pathways to allow the public to walk through comfortably.

This approach supports the No Mow May initiative, helping to encourage biodiversity at this time of year. There’s currently a lovely display of wildflowers throughout the grounds, adding to the peaceful and natural feel of the space.

In addition, we’ve planted poppy seeds near each war grave as a mark of respect, and have carefully cut around these areas to ensure they remain tidy and dignified.
